The Rev. Dr. Steven Goodwin has more than twenty-four years of experience as a Lutheran Pastor. Steve is a graduate of Bethel University and Luther Seminary, both in St. Paul, MN. He also holds a D.Min. from Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, CA, in the area of Organizational Development and Leadership. This dissertation was entitled “Pastoral Leadership for Turn Around Congregations.” He is the author of the book, Catching The Next Wave: Leadership Strategies For Turn Around Congregations (Augsburg Fortress, 1999), Overcoming Resistance to Change with Charles Ridley (ChurchSmart, 2001), and Confronting Dysfunction with Charles Ridley (ChurchSmart, 2011). Dr. Goodwin conducts conferences, seminars, and training sessions across the nation. He loves to coach leaders through their efforts at leading change. Steve has taught graduate courses as an Adjunct Professor at both Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena and at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Brea, CA.
Steve is President of TurningWest, Inc, a national consulting firm specializing in organization and leadership development (see www.turningwest.com). His passion lies in transforming organizations and leaders into more effective agents of change.
Steve and his wife Lisa have two children, Johnny (age 21) and Gracie (age 19), and make their home in Chino Hills, CA.
